Abigail Zhang
Yilei (Abbie) Zhang is a senior data analyst for the Partnered Evidence-based Policy Resource Center (PEPReC) at the Boston VA Healthcare System, and Boston University, School of Public Health. Her research interests include applied econometrics methods, casual inference, avoidable hospitalizations in the VHA, the impact of health information technology utilizations on clinical outcomes in the VHA, analyzing pharmacotherapy treatment patterns using machine learning algorithms, treatment patterns disparities by ethnicity/race, and the impacts of health care payment reform such as the Medicare hospital valued-based payment program.
She received her PhD in economics from Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) and a master’s in applied economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
