Samantha Auty
Samantha Auty is an investigator with the Partnered Evidence-based Policy Resource Center (PEPReC) at the VA Boston Healthcare System, and an assistant professor of Health Law, Policy & Management at the Boston University School of Public Health. Her research uses quasi-experimental methods to examine the impact of health policies on access to care and health outcomes among those with substance use disorders and other chronic conditions. Recent work has focused on improving the health of Veterans who are prescribed opioids, those with opioid use disorder, and those with mental health concerns. She received a BS from St. Lawrence University, an MS in Healthcare Research from the Dartmouth Institute, and a PhD in Health Services Research from Boston University School of Public Health.
